Watch Hill RI
Watch Hill is a picturesque seaside resort village with Victorian charm. It's
worth the drive to see the turn-of-the-century "cottages" nestled on winding
roads.
Stroll along lovely Little Narrangansett Bay filled with sailboats and other
pleasure craft.Shop the many unique boutiques on Bay Street and Fort Road. Dine
in friendly resort atmosphere at several charming eateries and restaurants. Most
businesses are open April through December.
Let the children experience the thrill of riding what is believed to be the
oldest flying horse carousel in the country. Each of the horses was hand-carved
over 100 years ago.
Observe the Indian Chief Ninigret as he keeps watch over the harbor. Visit the
historic lighthouse constructed in 1808, and hike out to Napatree Point to see
the remains of Fort Mansfield, built in 1898 to protect the coast from enemy
warships during the Spanish American War.
Weekapaug features two private beaches, yacht club, tennis club, croquet and
nearby golf course.
